I decided to scrap all my first drafts can came up with two options. One that still incorporated the typical umbrella shape, but instead of having each end of the canopy end in a point, it would use rounded edges. It would also not include a point / end above the canopy.
My second idea was to create a completely round umbrella that had all points ending in a hinge.
